Girls Cross Country Team Earns Third Straight Trip to IHSA State Finals

For the eighth time in program history and third straight season, the WHS Girls’ Cross Country Team is headed to the IHSA State Meet. Led by junior Joelle Wilson who finished seventh overall (18:14:31) at the Elmwood Sectional, the Bullets finished fifth as a team with an overall score of 175.
The Bullets will now head to Detweiller Park in Peoria on Saturday, November 8. Race time is scheduled for 9:00 am.
Girls Cross Country Team Captures 2025 Sangamo Conference Championship for Third Straight Title

The WHS Girls Cross Country Team captured the 2025 Sangamo Conference Title on Saturday, October 11, at Olympia High School in Stanford. The team finished with an overall score of 32 points, two ahead of Pleasant Plains. This was the team's third straight conference title, and the program's sixth overall.
