Kinley McCue Advances to IESA State Golf Finals for Second Year in a Row

For the second consecutive year, Kinley McCue advanced to the IESA State Golf Finals. She finished fifth overall as an individual with a score of 99 at the sectional at Lincoln Greens in Springfield on Thursday, September 7.

She then shot a 98 to finish twenty-eighth overall at the state finals at Metamora Fields. This was an overall improvement of twenty-seven strokes and an increase of thirty-seven places as well.

Tryout Information for the 2023 Junior High Golf Team

Due to the number of students who have expressed interest in trying out of the 2023 Williamsville Junior High School Golf Team, tryouts will now take place on Monday, August 7 thru Thursday, August 10 at The Rail Golf Course. The tryouts for boys and girls will be separated on the days listed below:

  • Boys: Monday, August 7 and Wednesday, August 9
  • Girls: Tuesday, August 8 and Thursday, August 10.

Tryouts will begin at 2:00 pm each day. Students who are wishing to tryout must attend both days of their specific tryout.


All players must have a current physical within the last year and complete the athletic registration process online, or they WILL NOT be able to participate in tryouts. You can access the athletic registration document at the following link: 23-24 Athletic Registration Form


If a player received an UPDATED PHYSICAL over the summer, they must bring a copy on the first day of try-outs and send a copy to Jennie Wagoner at wagoner@wcusd15.org.

Dan O’Connor Named First Bees Bees Golf Coach

The Williamsville Community Unit School District #15 Athletic Department, along with Williamsville Junior High School, is excited to announce Dan O’Connor as the first head coach in the history of the Bees Bees Golf Program. 

“Coach O’Connor has been a member of this district both has an educator and coach for the past ten years. His experience as both a teacher at WHS and WJHS, as well as being a member of four successful coaching staffs, makes him the perfect individual to help start the golf program at WJHS. Coach O’Connor’s passion for both Bee Bee and Bullet Athletics will help him establish a solid foundation for the junior high golf program. This foundation will continue to grow and develop our successful high school golf programs.”– Adam Eucker

Coach O’Connor is part of the Tradition of Excellence that is WCUSD #15 Athletics, having taught and coached in the for the past ten years, at both Williamsville High School and Williamsville Junior High School. He was a member of the Bullets Soccer Program for eight seasons, before joining the coaching staff for girls’ golf program at WHS.  Coach O’Connor was also a member of the boys’ basketball staff under Coach Beard; having coached the seventh-grade boys’ basketball team for three seasons from 2014 through 2017. Currently, he is also the head coach for the junior high girls’ track program.

“I am excited to start this program and to help build interest in golf for students at WJHS. With the start of the program, we can continue to strengthen the foundation for both golf programs at WHS!” – Dan O’Connor

We are extremely excited for Coach O’Connor to begin working with both Coach Jeese Noelke and Coach Darcy O’Connor to continue to take what has been established with Bullets Golf and meld the junior high golf program into the Tradition of Excellence that is both Bee Bee and Bullet Athletics.
