Seventeen Varsity Teams and Activities Earn the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award for the 25-26 School Year
The Williamsville CUSD 15 Athletic and Activity Department is proud to announce, that seventeen of our twenty-two varsity teams from the 2025-20256 school year were awarded the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award. To be eligible for this award, a team or activity must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, participate in the IHSA postseason, and have a minimum number of participants as determined by the IHSA. The overall GPA for the department for the 25-26 school year was 3.68.The bar has always been set high at Williamsville High School in terms of success for academic, athletics, and activities. Bullets TV to Provide Admission for WHS Students to the IHSA Sectional Finals on Friday, May 29
In conjunction with the WCUSD #15 Athletic and Activity Department, Bullets TV will be paying the admission fee for any student that attended WHS during the 25-26 school year that so they can attend either the IHSA Girls Soccer Sectional Final at the Rochester Soccer Complex or the IHSA Softball Sectional Final at Jane Grebner Field on Friday, May 29. For students to gain free admission to the game, they will need to pick up a ticket at the main office of Williamsville High School on Friday, May 29 between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm. Use of Facilities by Outside Teams and Organizations During the Week
We would like to remind community members that spaces across the district are not available for use by outside teams and organizations until after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. This allows teams and organizations affiliated with the district to complete their practices and events. We would like to provide a brief update regarding the use of Jane Grebner Field and Gerry Timm Field by outside teams and organizations this spring and summer. Following the renovations and upgrades completed on both fields this past fall, we will not be allowing outside teams or organizations to reserve or use either facility during the upcoming spring or summer seasons. This decision will help ensure that both fields remain in excellent condition for our baseball and softball programs.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your youth baseball and softball teams as they prepare for and begin their seasons. We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.Please note that we have several other facilities available throughout the district. Dalton Root and Tori Zobus Nominated for the 2026 IHSA All-State Academic Team
Seniors Dalton Root and Tori Zobus were recently selected as the male and female nominees from Williamsville High School for possible selection to the 2026 IHSA All-State Academic Team.Every IHSA member school is eligible to nominate one male and one female student for consideration each February. Nominees must possess a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale after their seventh semester, have participated in a least two IHSA sponsored sports or activities during their junior and senior years, and demonstrated outstanding citizenship.Nominations will be evaluated by a committee of IHSA principals, representatives of the Illinois Activities Directors Association, and representatives of the Illinois Athletic Directors Association. Nominations Still Being Accepted for the Williamsville High School Hall of Fame Class of 2026
We wanted to remind everyone that nominations are still open, and can be submitted until 11:59 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2026, for the Hall of Fame Class of 2026. This class will be announced early in the Spring of 2026 and will be recognized at a banquet and ceremony on the evening of Saturday, September 19, 2026 at WHS. Individuals, teams, activities, clubs, or organizations who meet the following criteria can be nominated for the Class of 2026:1) Teams that participated and excelled in Williamsville High School activities, clubs, or organizations. Bullets Softball Earns Win 1000 on Friday, March 27, 2026
Girls Varsity SoftballWhat began as a modest start in the spring of 1980, with a 3–11 record under head coach Linda Keenly, has grown into one of the top small-school softball programs in Illinois. Over the past forty-five seasons, Bullets Softball has been led by six head coaches and has included nearly 1,000 players. During that time, the program has captured thirty-three conference championships, twenty-eight IHSA Regional championships, and eleven IHSA Sectional championships. The Bullets have qualified for the IHSA State Tournament nine times, earning one third-place finish and three second-place finishes, and capturing the school’s first IHSA State Championship in 1995.Since that inaugural season in 1980, the program has finished with a winning record in forty-one of its forty-five seasons.With today’s 12-2 win over Lincoln, Bullets Softball adds another milestone to its long list of accomplishments: win number 1,000 in program history. Girls Varsity SoccerBullets Senior, Kendyl Mirabile, became the program's all-time career assist leader in the Bullets 8-1 win over Champaign St. Thomas More on Monday, March 23, 2026. She broke the previous record of seventy career assists held by Farah Abu-Tayeh with her assist to Ella Plumb. We congratulate Kendyl on this huge career achievement, and wish her the best of luck in the remainder of her senior year.
