It is with immense gratitude and pride, that we introduce this year’s grand marshals for the 2023 homecoming parade, the Williamsville Junior High School language arts teacher, Stacie Henderson, and Williamsville High School French teacher, Dana Whitten; both of whom will be retiring at the end of this school year.
Stacie is an alumni of WHS, having graduated in 1987. Following graduation, she attended Illinois State University, earning a degree in English education in 1991. Upon graduating from ISU, Stacie returned to Williamsville and began teaching language arts at WJHS in the Fall of 1991 and has remained in the district for the past thirty-three years.
Dana is a 1981 graduate of Southeast High School. Following graduation, she attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, earning a degree in French language education in 1985. Upon graduating from SIUC, Dana entered the private sector and worked there until the Fall of 1995, when she began teaching at Round Lake High School. She remained at Round Lake for four years, before returning to Sangamon County, and beginning her tenure at WHS. Dana has been on staff at WHS for the past twenty-five years.
Please join us this Sunday, September 24, starting at 4:30 pm in showing our gratitude and thankfulness for these two educators, and everything they have done for WCUSD #15 over the past three decades, by attending the 2023 homecoming parade and pep rally.
