At halftime of tonight's homecoming game against New Berlin, Dave Olysav was honored for spearheading the purchase and installation of the original lights at Paul Jenkins.

If you would have driven past Paul Jenkins Field before the Fall of 1990, this is what you have seen on a Friday night in the Fall, a darkened field.

Prior to the 1990 season, all Bullets varsity home football games were played on Saturdays. This all changed when Dave Olysav purchased and spearheaded the installation of the original lights at Paul Jenkins Field.

Because of Dave’s efforts, Friday Night Lights have taken place at Paul Jenkins Field every Fall for the past thirty-three years. Without his generosity and gratitude, Paul Jenkins Field would still be dark on Friday nights in the Fall.
