Due to the postponement of the IESA State Softball Finals on Friday, September 22, a new timeline of events has been created for the Williamsville Junior High Softball, and their trip to Champion Fields in Normal.

• WJHS Softball Team introduction at the home varsity football game on Friday, September 22 vs Athens. This will occur between the first and second quarter.

• WJHS Softball Team sendoff and police escort from Williamsville Junior High School athletic entrance at 8:00 am on Saturday, September 23.

• WJHS vs Metamora in the IESA 2A State Quarterfinals at Champion Fields in Normal, IL at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23.

• If they win, they will play at 5:00 pm at Champion Fields.

If you purchase tickets online, they are $8.00 for high school students and adults, and $4.00 for students in grades K-8 and senior citizens. Cash purchases can also be done onsite at Champions Field. If tickets are purchased with cash, they are $10.00 for high school students and adults, and $5.00 for students in grades K-8 and senior citizens.

There will be a fan bus still going to the game on Saturday, September 23. Mr. Shoufler will be communicating additional information regarding this.

Williamsville Junior High School in conjunction with the WCUSD #15 Athletic Department, are excited to announce a fan bus for WJHS students for this Friday’s IESA State Softball game between the Bee Bees and the Metamora Redbirds in Normal.

Signups will take place on Tuesday, September 19, through Wednesday, September 20 in the main office at WJHS. Cost for the bus is $10.00, and this will include transportation and admission to the game; money must be turned in when students sign up. Students will be responsible for their own food once they arrive at Champions Field in Normal. WJHS will prioritize seventh and eighth grade student fans first.

The bus will leave WJHS at 10:30 am on Friday and return at approximately 3:30 pm. Students who ride the bus to the game will be required to ride the bus back to WJHS.

The Williamsville Junior High Softball Team captured the 2023 IESA 2A Sectional Title on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in an 8-4 win over Hillsboro Junior High School. This was the programs first sectional title since the 2017 season.

With the win, the Bee Bees advance to the IESA State Finals, where they will face the Redbirds of Metamora Grade School on Friday, September 22 at noon. The game will take place at Champion Fields in Normal, IL.

The Williamsville Junior High Softball Team captured the 2023 IESA 2A Regional Title on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in an 8-2 win over Porta Junior High School. This was the programs first regional title since the 2019 season.

The Bee Bees will now play the Dragons of Hillsboro Junior High School for the IESA 2A Sectional Title on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Riverton Middle School. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 am.

Tryouts for the 2023 Junior High Bee Bees Softball team will be held July 24, 25, and 26 from 4:00-5:30 pm at Jane Grebner Field on the campus of Williamsville High School. Those wishing to try out as a pitcher or catcher should plan to say until 6:00 on Monday and Tuesday only. All girls entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are eligible to try out. Tryouts will be closed, so please drop your child off at the field and pick her up at the designated times.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all those trying out on Monday, July 24 at 6:30, in the JH Gymnasium. A mandatory parent/athlete meeting will also take place for all Fall junior high athletes on Wednesday, August 2 at 6:00 pm in the auditorium at Williamsville High School.

All players must have a current physical within the last year and complete the athletic registration process online, or they WILL NOT be able to participate in tryouts. Information regarding athletic registration for the 23-24 school year will be sent out to all families via TeacherEase later this Summer. If a player received an UPDATED PHYSICAL over the summer, they must bring a copy on the first day of try-outs and send a copy to Jennie Wagoner at wagoner@wcusd15.org.
