We are extremely excited about having both a large student and community crowd at the State Farm Center for this weekend’s IHSA Boys Basketball State Finals. Unfortunately, due to the times when our games occur on Thursday, March 7, the logistics of taking a fan bus and the issues that are presented to the district regarding supervision of students cause a large number of challenges. Therefore, a fan bus will not be provided for students. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through this exciting week.

Williamsville High School has been allotted 125 tickets for students behind our bench in sections 9 and 10 at the State Farm Center for each session of this weekend’s IHSA State Boys Basketball State Finals that we participate in. We understand that more than 125 students may want to attend that game and cheer on their peers, but this is the allotment that the IHSA provides each of the sixteen schools who advance to the IHSA State Finals.
To fairly distribute tickets, this is the order of how tickets will be distributed during the school day on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in the main office. Each group will be called down at the appropriate time:
- Regular Members of the Bullets Student Fan Section (These Students Have Been Already Been Notified): 10:45-11:00 AM
- Members of the Senior Class: 11:00 – 11:15 AM
- Members of the Junior Class (If there are tickets remaining): 11:15 – 11:30 AM
- Members of the Sophomore and Freshman Class (If there are tickets remaining): 11:30 AM.
Each ticket will cost $15.00, and students will be required to pay for the ticket when they purchase it tomorrow. Students will also receive a wristband with their ticket; without this wristband they will not be able to access the student seating in sections 9 and 10.
If students do not get a ticket in the assigned student section, they can purchase one of the 710 tickets that were allotted to Williamsville High School in one of the following sections at the State Farm Center: 218, 219, and 220 through the Star Farm Center Box Office at this link: www.StateFarmCenter.com.
These tickets can be purchased by clicking on “Buy Tickets with a Promo Code” and entering the following code: MAROON2A. Tickets in these sections are $10.00 each, plus any applicable fees from the State Farm Center. Please note, tickets for the second game on Thursday or Saturday, will not be available for purchase with the promo code until after the first game has been played. Please refer to the attached document regarding how to navigate the State Farm Center website in order to access these tickets: https://bit.ly/3wR00eE
Students can purchase additional ticket in the 200 level, or other areas of the State Farm Center if our school’s allotment is sold out.
Students who have tickets in the student section will be able to purchase tickets for the next session that Williamsville High School is playing in from a school representative at the conclusion of the first game on Thursday. Additional information regarding this will be sent out and communicated to the student section. These tickets will also be $15.00 each.

With the Bullets 54-41 win over North-Mac on Thursday, December 21, Nick Beard becomes the winningest head coach in Bullets’ Men’s Basketball history with 204 career wins; surpassing Carey McVickers. Coach McVickers coached the Bullets for twelve seasons from 1987 until 1999.
Coach Beard began his head coaching career with the Bullets a decade ago on December 6, 2013, in a 58-45 win over North-Mac. He is in his eleventh season as the head coach of the Bullets and is the twenty-eighth head coach in the 104-year history of the program. Coach Beard is one of only four coaches with over 100 career victories in program history, one of only two with over 200 career victories, and now the all-time career wins leader. We congratulate Coach Beard and the entire Bullets Basketball program on this huge career milestone.
