Williamsville CUSD #15 Athletic and Activity Department would like to inform our community that all remaining scheduled home games at Gerry Timm Field and Jane Grebner Field will be relocated for the 2025 junior high baseball and softball seasons.

Due to a combination of weather-related delays and an unexpected family medical emergency involving our lead contractor, the renovation projects at both fields will not be completed within the original timeline. As a result, the fields will be unplayable for the remainder of this season.

Our athletic department is actively working with other schools to secure alternate locations for all scheduled home games so that our student-athletes can still compete as planned. In addition, our coaching staffs are collaborating with the athletic department to determine the best way to properly honor our eighth-grade players and their families this season.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause. The safety of our players and staff, along with the long-term health of both fields, remain our top priorities.

We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of our players, families, and community throughout this process. Once complete, the renovations will help ensure that Gerry Timm Field and Jane Grebner Field remain one of the finest facilities for baseball and softball in our region and the state of Illinois.

Due to the forecasted heat, tryouts for the 2025 Williamsville Junior High Softball Team have been adjusted to ensure the safety and well-being of our student-athletes.

Tryouts on Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, July 29 will now take place from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, with pitchers and catchers staying until 8:20 PM.

• Monday’s tryout will be held at Paul Jenkins Field on the campus of Williamsville High School.
• Tuesday and Wednesday’s tryouts (July 29–30) will return to Waldrop Park, with Wednesday’s session (July 30) remaining at the originally scheduled time of 4:00 PM.

In addition, the mandatory parent meeting has been moved to 5:45 PM on Monday, July 28 and will be held in the commons area near the auditorium at Williamsville High School. Please enter through the main entrance near the auditorium and field house.

We sincerely appreciate your flexibility and understanding regarding these schedule adjustments as our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our student athletes and coaching staff. Tryouts for the 2025 Junior High Bee Bees Softball team will be held July 28, 29, and 30 from 4:00-5:30 pm at Waldrop Park in Sherman. Those wishing to try out as a pitcher or catcher should plan to say until 6:00 on Monday and Tuesday only. All girls entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are eligible to try out. Tryouts will be closed, so please drop your child off at the field and pick her up at the designated times.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all those trying out on Monday, July 28 at 6:30, in the auditorium at Williamsville High School. Information regarding the mandatory parent/athlete meeting for all 2025 Fall junior high athletes will be sent out to all families via TeacherEase before the end of the 24-25 school year.

All players must have a current physical within the twelve months and complete the athletic registration process online, or they WILL NOT be able to participate in tryouts. Information regarding athletic registration for the 25-26 school year will be sent out to all families via TeacherEase before the end of the 24-25 school year. If a player receives an UPDATED PHYSICAL over the summer, they must bring a copy on the first day of try-outs and send a copy to Denise Bryant at bryant@wcusd15.org .
